Wendi Bourne

Welcome!   Here's where you can see what Wendi's been doing, where she'll be performing, and lots of other cool stuff.

Wendi sings and plays guitar - mostly acoustic roots music of one sort or another.  Wendi's first love is swing music from the 30's and 40's.  She performs with a variety of musical groups (see below).

Wendi performs with:

Girls from Mars (www.girlsfrommars.com) - a swing band featuring the amazingly wonderful, out-of-this-world 3 part vocals of Wendi, Annie Patterson, and Lauren Janson.  Their recordings can be found on CD Baby and many other digital sites.

The Coyotes (www.coyotesmusic.com) features Wendi, husband Rik Bourne, and friend, Bill Dooley.  On fiddle, banjo and guitar, they play a variety of acoustic roots music, including old time fiddle tunes, blues, western swing, and just good-old-songs that they like alot!

Beats Walkin (www.beatswalkin.com) - The Philadelphia area's premiere Western Swing Band - featuring Jim Cohen on pedal steel - plus bass, drums, fiddle, the beautiful vocals of Lindsay Gilmore, and Wendi playing rhythm guitar and singing as well.

Rik & Wendi Bourne - as a duo, Rik & Wendi play fiddle & guitar, respectively.  They play for square dances, concerts, etc.

W&E Swing:  features Wendi on vocals and guitar, and Ernie Pugliese on guitar.  They play songs from the Great American Songbook and have a new CD just released in Nov. 2015 - a recording of moon songs (How High the Moon, Moonlight in Vermont, Old Devil Moon, etc.).   Available on CD Baby and other digital music sites.
